We are excited about our latest holiday port release and want to share it with you. We're offering this six bottle vertical of library Port wine, Vats 18 through 20, and 22 through 24.These wines were bottled a year apart from 2012 through 2018, respectively. They all show both tawny and ruby character because of our Solera-style method of blending, and have developed additional character from the time in bottle. All bottles are 500mL with the exception of Vat 23, which is 375mL.

Vat 19 Port
A blend of vintage Ports dating from 2001-2012, all produced from 100% estate grown Chambourcin. This red hybrid variety makes a beautiful port. There is a lot going on here, with youthful joy. Prune, blackberry, blueberry jam, oak spice and nutmeg and a touch of coffee syrup. A rich, full entry with dark berry and orange liqueur. Very long in the finish, ending with toasted almond and dried blueberry. 2013 Gold Medal and NJ Governor’s Cup Winner in Dessert category (Vat 18)
Vat 20 Port
A blend of vintage Ports dating from 2001-2013, all produced from 100% estate grown Chambourcin. Aromas of fig, chocolate and mint, hints of pie spice. In the mouth, full entry, soft creamy, long finish of cherry candy and pie spice. Delicious with oatmeal raisin cookies with chocolate chunks, Fig Newtons, blue cheeses, ie: Stilton, dark chocolates-molten lava cake.
Vat 23 Port
Vat 23 is a carefully crafted blend of Port from nine vintages stretching from 2016 all the way back to 2001. Bright raspberry entry rapidly evolves into sinful notes of warm blueberry compote and creamy milk chocolate. As the senses adjust, the layered nature of this complex blend begins to take form, with flavors of creme brulee, dark chocolate, coffee liqueur, and amaretto flooding the mid-palate. Smooth, velvety mouth feel with supple tannic structure accentuates these layers as the finish unfolds into deep notes of toffee and hazelnut that last long after you swallow. It's a perfect journey through 15 years of Port production at Unionville.
Vat 24 Port
Containing barrels from 2016 all the way back to 2005, this wine travels through over a decade of Port production at the winery. A nose of dark chocolate and oak lifts initial ruby flavors of candied orange peel and blueberry before moving into deeper notes of mocha, cream liqueur, and chocolate-covered raspberries. A spicy, minute-long finish ends the journey with tawny notes of caramel and allspice staying with you long after your final sip. This wine begs for rich, chocolatey dessert or perhaps your favorite cigar.
Tasting notes for Vat 22 are not available at this time.
