At Unionville, we use a Solera-style blending technique to create our Vat Series Port wine. We blend this Port across multiple vintages to integrate aspects of multiple styles, flavors, and structures. Containing barrels from this harvest (2019) all the way back to 2005, this wine travels through almost 15 years of Port production at the winery.
On the nose, this wine is pure tiramisu with notes of cinnamon and cream lifting fruit-driven flavors of black currant and candied ginger. This brighter entrance gives way to waves of Christmas spice, hazelnut, and coffee liqueur before a minute-long finish of milk chocolate and salted caramel envelopes and refreshes the palate. This wine begs for decadent desserts of all varieties, yet can also be sipped with good company, a warm fire, or your favorite cigar. 131 cases produced.
