At Unionville, we use a Solera-style blending technique to create our Vat Series Port wine. We blend this Port across multiple vintages to integrate aspects of multiple styles, flavors, and structures. Containing barrels from 2019 all the way back to 2005, this wine travels through almost 15 years of Port production at the winery.
On the nose, this wine is warm blueberry cobbler with notes of cedar and caramel lifting flavors of Chambord and maraschino cherry. Rich, but balanced, this brighter start gives way to a layered palate of molasses, sandalwood, and almond liqueur before a finish of dark chocolate-covered raspberries and toffee carries you to your next sip. This wine begs for decadent desserts of all varieties, yet can also be sipped with good company, a warm fire, or your favorite cigar
Unionville Vineyards provides guests with a safe, comfortable environment to relax and enjoy fine wine in the serene countryside of pastoral Hunterdon County.
