2022 The Big O

This is what we've all been waiting for. Dive into a nose that smells like a spring flower bouquet, with candied cherries and a little menthol note, too. A textured palate shows gobs of red berry fruits, tobacco leaf, allspice and clove. There's even a friendly, toasty note that might evoke graham cracker. As usual, this wine has a finish lasting forever, with lingering vanilla, cherry pie, and a touch of refreshing herbaceousness. Aged 21 months in neutral French oak. A blend of our estate-grown Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from Ashenfelter Vineyard in Vineland, NJ. This wine is still young and will certainly develop with a few more years in the bottle. Pair with red meats, grilled or smoked with plenty of wood, char, olives, and herbs. 120 cases produced.
