When we embarked on the Rhone wine project 15 years ago, this was the white Rhone blend we dreamed of making. The nose is wildly different from anything else in the portfolio, giving aromas of lilac, lanolin, fresh cut hayfield, and beeswax or honeycomb. The palate is unctuous with tropical fruit character, pineapple and guava, finished with a wash of creamy lemon meringue. Full bodied, broad, and mouthfilling, this is a rich white wine that only these varieties can make. Pour this with rich fish dishes like Halibut in beurre blanc, bouillabaisse, or beer-battered fish tacos. 50% Viognier, 25% Marsanne, 25% Rousanne. 13.5% abv. 110 cases produced.
